Topic: CoolChaser Topics / Update Some Boxes

i was making a theme right now and i had to resize and crop some pics. here’s how i set my pics by:
[AxB]
Network Boxes: [A]440x[B]500
Contact Boxes: [A]300x[B]153
Banner Boxes: [A]800x[B]500
Other Boxes: unlimited

what i want is so that the [B] in the Network and Banner would have more px. it would be great if the Network box would have at least [B]800px and the Banner box at least [B]700px.

can you guys do that…? (waiting for reply)

Hooray! MySpace fixed whatever was going on because we now have 2 layouts that work that did that ‘crawl up’ thing before! cc_banner no longer is a problem. :)

BTW. Is there a way to put an image in the Extended Network area that isn’t a background? If so, I’ve an idea… LOL

I created a layout for my ‘myspace music’ website for my band. Not the regular myspace site and it does not seem to work. The layout is a bit different. Any suggestions on a layout from coolchaser for myspace music?
I can paste the code I created in the ‘about me’ section, but there is no icon to ‘save’ the profile. If I can’t create one for myspace music, I might delete my account with myspace and change it to a regular account.

Hi Sachiko,
Guess I wasn’t clear in what I explained. I’m not using ‘old code.’ I’m using some of you’re newest featured stuff with tweaks. So, let me explain this again.

The Coolchaser banner isn’t covering the home button so you can’t access it. That’s not what’s happening.

The problem is: the “home” button isn’t active. The entire menu banner is fully visible and all buttons work EXCEPT the Home button. It’s dead unless you swipe over it several times with the cursor. If you do that, it will activate IF the very top tip of the cursor is at the buttons’ bottom edge. If it’s any higher, it won’t click.

More than that, if you hover over the button, the “alt” explanation of where the click leads isn’t “home,” as it should be. Instead it reads: “Coolchaser.” LOL

I think some of this is because the Coolchaser banner is a class and the coding is a DIV, which MySpace’s new JavaScript and other additions are messing with. Even though the map puts the visible banner in the upper left corner as it should be, the area that’s “hot” (the link to Coolchaser) is from the upper corner down to some of where the word “Home” is in the MySpace menu. :)

The only way to ‘fix’ the situation is to take the Coolchaser banner away. Since it really didn’t go with the color scheme of the profiles we’re building, it was bugging my artistic sensibilities anyway. No worries, though. Because the profiles we’re working on are going to be doing something unusual for MySpace – actually networking and promoting others besides ourselves – there will be a promo for Coolchaser on each. Some will be just a recommend, others will be glaring and in-your-face. But, they’ll each have one. So, I (nor my programming partner in crime) won’t have to worry about being tossed in the clink! LOL

Let me know the moment someone gets a fix on the cc_banner challenge so I can put that nice ad area beneath the MySpace menu again. That was really kool and I don’t like the work-around I had to do ‘cos I’m expanding the “Extended Network” area and using a background pic, which means no rotating Flash ads that can be hyperlinked. Unless, of course…

Do you have any idea how to put an image in the Extended Network area that isn’t a background? If there’s a way to do that, that would be EXCELLENT !!

1) well you can change the background color in the Layout Editor in “Other Options”. i don’t know the codes though.
2) i don’t know… i bet Sachiko-sama can help. just be patience. =)

Almost!! It’s “Hai, watashi wa Nihongo ga suki desu.” Yeah the order is a bit different from English and Japanese. In English it’s “I like Japanese” but in Japanese it’s “I Japanese like” kinda like how Yoda speaks :D
