Help Getting Code

Hi I just designed and created a new ‘theme’ then I tried to update my profile which repeatedly failed. So i went to CoolChaser.us to try and locate the code there, but I cant find it. Can someone please tell me where i get the code for my own theme. I have saved my theme, but when I click on it there is still no code. i just go around in circles. Help!

On Step 1: Choose Theme click on the “My Themes” tab and you can pick the theme you saved.

Then, get a background and tweak if you wish until it looks the way you like and Add it to your profile! :)

The problem is you cannot save your code (unless there is someway I don’t know of). I am having a similar problem. I like to create many layouts but, don’t want to use them at the moment I create them. I was explained how to do it by clicking on the code not working right now but, for some reason Coolchaser does not alway provide that link to click on. Is there something I am doing wrong? Why does it appear sometimes and not others?

Yeah, we are using an auto insert widget called “gigya” maybe like half the time, so when you see a small logo “gigya” on the bottom right, that means you won’t have that link. But I was wondering, I always insert the layout on my profile anyway and see how it works and then if I like it but don’t wanna use it now, I’ll just go back and select some other layout in my layout history. The one that i created lives inside the history too so i can easily access them later. Is there a reason you don’t like to do it this way? Just wondering because I never needed to save a layout other wise.

I was concerned if I did that – that I would lose something in the process when I went back to the former layout. I change each layout to go with my new theme. I will go ahead and try it. Thanks!

I did as you suggested and it worked. However, it is a lot more work for me to go through when I know it is not my intention to use that profile at that time. Your way I have to clear my space, insert new profile, remove new proflie, clear myspace profile AGAIN and reinsert old proflie. I’d much rather prefer to insert code manually which I am allowed to do when the “gigya” widget is not used. I do not like that widget.

Do you use CoolChaser’s layout all the time? Cause we automatically replace the old Coolchaser code with the new one and you don’t have to go back and forth MySpace to change your profile!!! It’s different if you are using someone else’s layout though.. but as long as you are using ours, we automatically replace the new one with the old one!

Maybe that’s why many people wanted to save layouts because they didn’t know that??
