Featured CoolChaser :)

So we are featuring Chamorita on our page for more than a month now (well, almost 2 months :P) so we should feature a new CoolChaser! As being featured as a CoolChaser on the homepage is a SUPER GREAT honor, (hee hee) I would like everybody to nominate who to be featured so it won’t be purely based on my taste :D

Anyways, to start things off, I would like to nominate LostJohn for creating so many great themes and also helping build a community on the forum… any objections~?? :)

Not at all! LostJohn is a good candidate. And yes! It truly was a honor for me to be featured. I was not even trying for it. I was just enjoying this awesome site. Of course I would hate to be bumped but I can share! lol.. I play well with others. Maybe you can set up a top ten list! You think! I sure will miss the fame. Really! Since you featured me I have had new friend request as well as personal requests. I am honored Thank You so much for the recognition.

hmmm this is a tough one for me. I like Lost Johns themes and he has been such a great member in this forum.

I also LOVE marileejean’s themes. I’m partial to the feminine ones. :)

A Top Ten List sounds great to me. Another to consider is Starla.

aww Thanks for considering me Lost John, but I’ve only done a few things. Maybe later on once i get a better hang of everything.

Marlieejean’s themes are good, but Lost John has a really good variety. I think he’d be the best candidate.

The pics show up on the links because Sachiko installed snapshot to the forums to give a preview of the links. You can download it and use it on your browser if you want to use it on other sites too.

Ok so for this round, let’s feature LostJohn as everybody has been very positive about it! Starting from next round, let’s set up some sort of system – everybody likes system! LOL I’m thinking to maybe nominate candidates starting right now until it reaches 10 candidates :) and then everybody can vote who to feature… what do you guys think??? Too elaborate?

Sachiko, I think it is a great idea. There are so many excellent themes out there. I hope this gets a lot of response.

Definitely thanks to Sachiko, Heathaaa, Chamorita, Starla and sun20shine07 for the kind words and consideration. I appreciate it. Like Chamorita, I didn’t and don’t do it for “glory”, although I am happy others enjoy my themes and some choose to use them. Once again, thanks to all of you.

we can nominate to 10 people and begin voting. Or we can do like each person is featured for a month. During the month we can nominate people for the next one up until the last week. Then, we compile the list of nominees and vote for one week. Is that too much? I still like your way too Sachiko. Just thought I’d give you some feedback!

Sachiko’s idea is ok, but another idea has been mentioned which deserves consideration: a Top Ten. This could be a monthly or even bi-monthly thing, but it gives recognition to 10 of the Coolchaser users, and now, not only Coolchaser, but the forum is getting large enough to make it work, and work well. Please consider this option.

Thanks everyone for the feedback on how to nominate and select who to be featured :) I would want to feature everyone who gets nominated actually :D this could be possible if we feature new person every week or every other week – what do you think? Since we aren’t getting much nomination yet, this might work out too :) Anywho, nominate more people and then we can experiment and learn about which system works or not :D I’m planning to write a blog about the new featured CoolChaser also to get a bit more exposure.

I think it should stay for one month. Because if you change it weekly or biweekly we will run out of ppl in a few weeks. We can change it to weekly if we start getting lots of nominees tho.

Monthly or every other month depending on number of nominations would work. However, I am going to look at more peoples’ works. There are many excellent themes and layouts out there.

Also, when we have enough “Nominees” something like y’all did this month with Me, Chamorita and Heathaaa would be kewl, and give more recognition to more folks.

Sachiko, the more I think about it, the more I do feel it should be monthly. That doesn’t mean it just has to be one person per month. There is nothing saying we can’t have from 1 to 10, depending on nominations. But they should get a month of “glory” on the site. Of course, this is my personal opinion, and I am just throwing it out for other people’s feelings on the subject.
