ok, the good news is that i got into Aviary. yay! ok, the bad news is that when the Beta runs out, it might not be free. D= i like free programs. ok, the bad news is that i didn’t find a ‘scratch’ tool on the image editor, i only found a blur tool which is not really what i need. ok, the good news is that you’re gonna help me. ok? lmao xD
the forums at Aviary are a bit scary. it doesn’t look all open like CoolChaser forums. soooo, i’m asking you guys question cuz i know you are all at least smarter than me. lol =)

oh ok…try the liquefy tool. It looks like a paint palate in the tools on the left side. I chose a small brush to begin with and then changed the sizes up a little to get a better look. What it will do is sort of smear the background around, so be careful to not distort it too much. This is why I changed the size of the brush to blend it better. It may take a little practice…but it’s pretty easy once you get used to how the tool works.

If you are just removing the logo over a solid color just paint over it in the same color. You can use the dropper tool to select the exact color from the image and then paint over it with the paint brush.

Here is one I did with the liquefy tool:

That is the finished image. To see the original, just click the sources tab and click the thumbnail to see it.

ok, i’ll try the liquefy tool later when i’ll need to do some work.

did you erase the ‘contactbles.com’ logo off that contact table?

Avatar Heathaaa Administrator 1,330 post(s)

yeah did you see it?

It’s not as simple as just waving the cursor over it though. You have to pay attention because it sort of distorts the background to cover it up…so you need to be creative with changing the size of the brush and going in different directions.

oooooooooooohhhh…................... that… sounds… kinda hard… i’ll try at least. o.O
yep, but your contact box is perfect. i couldn’t even tell if there even was a ‘contactbles.com’ logo. lmao, that’s why i asked. xD

oh I see! :P
If you want to see the original image you have to click on the “sources” tab and click the thumbnail icon for the source image to see it before I edited it.

It’s not really that hard once you do a couple of them and get used to how the tool works. :)

kk.
yesterday i tried out some tools on the image editor and it was pretty kool. since i’m pretty good at drawing crusaders, i can make my own crusader concept arts… that is, when i have time. =) but it’s gonna be hard and i’m gonna need to spend hours on practice and getting the image done. i think it’s still worth it though. i then can do a lot with that kind of experience. =)

rotflmfao! i just tried draw just a sword and now i changed my mind about drawing crusaders! xD crazy hard! i’ll need to take classes. i like traditional art better. drawing and sketching crusaders with a pencils is much easier. the down side is that it doesn’t look like computer art when you take a picture of it. the down side for computer art is that it takes lots of time and practice to be good. i’m gonna need to take a class it get it right. lol

yeah you might want to try googling photoshop drawing tutorials and see if you can find a good one. I think the way you draw with an editor like that is different than with a pencil. You will need to make shapes and then use the different tools to manipulate the shapes into the drawing. Drawing like you would with a pencil is waaaay complicated. Here is a tutorial I found for doing line art. Which is basically using the pen tool to draw cartoon like lines to turn a regular photo into a cartoon.
