yah it’s fun. I think I wasted a couple of hours playing with it last night! I was designated driver so I had to stay up late and wait from my hubby to call me. :P

I don’t know whether it’s true or not, but it has spread around the myspace and yuwie world that the “buying” game actually carries either a virus or hacker program in it. Disgruntled anti-slavery folks, maybe? or the real thing?

no there’s no virus in Own Your Friends. You can only get a virus if you download it to your computer (like some “editors” that say you can edit your profile if you download their software, you can edit your profile with their software…but…it’s really a virus and if you don’t kill it, it will kill your computer).

I think that a lot of times the app runs painfully slow when myspace is running slow and people assume they are being hacked. You wouldn’t believe how many people think they are being hacked when myspace gets all glitchy and runs slow. I can’t believe the world still hasn’t caught on that Myspace is just that way. It’s always been that way! You will know if you get hacked because you will see a bunch of bulletins from your profile that you didn’t send, or myspace will send you a message telling you to change your password. (but that message doesn’t always mean you actually got hacked. It only means someone reported you for spamming them. They could have reported a message that wasn’t actually spam, but it will still get your account locked until you change your password.)
