where is my background???

I changed a name header, an saw that my background is gone from my myspace, and its not on the coolchaser.com site either. I think it was number 15560175. What happened?

I can see your background when I looked at your profile just now. Myspace servers were probably just busy when you were looking at your profile. Sometimes when myspace is really busy it can take profiles a long time to load and sometimes they won’t completely load. But it always goes back to normal when they fix their server issues.

well, here’s what I see happening: when I do the coolchaser code to make the name larger, adjust the padding, and add a border it will mess up the background. I tried making the name smaller, but with the same result. Is it better to copy the code and paste it in?

Are you using the editor to adjust the name heading? Or are you pasting code?

If you are pasting a code:
You need to make sure it is at the VERY end of the Bio section. AFTER all the coolchaser codes. The name heading has absolutely nothing to do with the background. So my guess is you might be pasting the code in the wrong place, or you accidentally deleted part of the Coolchaser code when you were trying to paste the new code. (that’s why it’s really just easier to use the editor to make changes)

If you are using the editor to change your theme:
First, you will need to save your new theme you edited.
1. Go to “my layouts”. Click “edit” on your Current Layout.
2. Under “Step 1. Choose a Theme” click the “My Themes” tab and choose the new theme you just saved.
3. Enter your info in step 4. and click Update My Profile.

The codes will automatically be updated for you and you will keep the same background.

Heathaaa, sweetie, that’s what I did, and it just went nuts. I’ll keep working on it, but maybe this particular background has some issues…. I dunno… maybe its Passive-Aggressive, just like my ex…..

which one did you do? What do you mean it went nuts?

When I did it through coolchaser in the way that you delineate. I tried it several times, adjusting the size a few times (thinking the larger size might somehow cause problems), but it just blows away the background every time. The new name field will be there, but nothing else.

Can you try it and put it on your profile so I can see what is causing the problem? Changing the name text doesn’t do anything to the background. So something else is making this happen when you put it on the profile. Are you seeing the background when you preview it before you put it on your profile?

Its doesn’t want to work. Same thing as before, a blank background. (Its definitely passive-aggressive…... causing issues but won’t say why…..)

That layout works perfectly on my test page. So I really don’t understand why it’s not working on your page.
