i dont know the answer myself and i kno sum1 here will, how is it one puts a banner at the top of a page?

We do have banner layouts at Coolchaser! :) You can use your banner image and make a banner layout!

That link is to create the theme. That is where the banner will go. Then, you save your theme. Click on the Layout Editor link and the first option is “Choose Theme”. Click the “My Themes” tab and pick the banner theme you made and then you can either search for a background or upload your own, or enter the URL for one you like and put it all on your profile.

The actual html for putting a banner above your profile is going to depend on the size of the banner. If you can give me more details I’ll try to help you! Or send your friend to my Myspace. If you didn’t already. One of your friends sent me a message today and I sent her an add request so I could see her profile.

okay I cant see the code, its telling me that I have to make a profile to see it. I dont want a profile. sigh

I got the code from here the other day and i accidentally messed it up and cant fix it lol

please help!! SMILE

it’s ok you can still get the code. Just don’t enter the security text and it won’t go on your myspace page it will take you to the coolchaser layout history and you can get the code there.

actually if you want to just fix the code you already have, just delete all the coolchaser code from the about me section. and go to “my layouts” on coolchaser.com

after you sign in on coolchaser you will see your current layout and there will be a link to get the code to manually update your profile. That should fix it! :)

okay I dont get this…..I made the layout, I went back into it because it didnt let me have the option to “layout editor” so now I found the layout editor and did what you are telling me and its not letting me see any codes….

I found a code in here from the forum before without all the trouble, and it was the code for the banner above the entire profile…where did it go??

Can you post it in here for me PLEASE!!?? :D

I did the coding for my myspace myself and havent used coolchaser….. until i found this code…

oh…gosh I don’t know which one it was. There were a couple of people that posted messages with their entire layout code in them because they had a question about it.

When you are on http://coolchaser.com there is a big link for the layout editor.

You create the layout with the live preview. Then when you click “update my profile” it automatically goes on your profile. If you don’t want it to go on your profile then don’t enter the security text when it prompts you. Click the link below the text entry box that says “not working?”. It will take you to your history and you can get the code there. It’s a link that says “here’s the code for the manual update”.

The purpose of the editor is so you don’t have to mess with the codes and that way you won’t accidentally delete any parts of it. The software puts the code in your About Me section for you.
