How to create a perfect layout

Some people have asked how come when they use certain sized photos, the outcome gets blurry or gets all bloated up. The reason is because we resize the images to fit the most popular screen size (1024px) because we think it looks nicer if the background is covering up the screen rather than looking like the background has been just slapped there in the middle of the page with lots of space around it. • If the backgrounds don’t take up your whole screen (you see the bars on each side of your background), that means you have a wider screen than most. You can do the same with this tutorial, only make your background image 1280px wide and don’t upload it in the Layout Editor. Instead Read This tutorial on how to add the background to your layout. • If you want to use a background image that won’t take up your whole screen see THIS TUTORIAL Anyway, here is a tip to create a nice layout from a portrait picture. Please share any other tips, an online software or a free software that people can use to tweak their background and such! Let’s say I have a picture that is portrait size:
when I try using this, the head is going to be cut off, and even if I change the position of the head, it still cuts off most of her lower part of the body :D Like this:
So, you can simply transform this photo using a photo editing software to be landscape size (1024px wide) so it looks like this (I used the gold part and resized that to fit the rest of the photo):
this way, you get to see her whole figure and you’ll be able to have a nicer layout :) Like this!
Hope this tip helps! |

I edited this in the original post…but just in case: • If the backgrounds don’t take up your whole screen, that means you have a wider screen than most.
