Is the banner ad blocking the editor?

Hi all!

I was just testing something on IE6 and IE7 and noticed that the banner ad on top of our layout editor is blocking the slider. Does that happen to anybody else?

Thanks for testing! Can you make sure the ad is a Flash ad? It seems to be OK when it’s a gif ad.

lol, i use FF, so no problems here.

That’s pretty bad :( We should take out those Flash ads.. do you get any complains through feedbacks? I mean the dropdown is completely blocked so I don’t see how people can use the editor..

Like Kon, I mostly use FF, so haven’t had a problem. I can see where it would be one if I were still using IE7. Oh thank Heaven for FF (with due apologies to 7-11 for paraphrasing their commercial) LOL

OK, so we took that banner out! Back to the way it was a month ago now… Flash can be a pain in a butt sometimes! :D I’m glad people use FF, but I’m starting to like my Mac Safari too! :) Mac FF isn’t that great actually… :D

You know what? I had like 2 people email me about the ad blocking…but I didn’t realize they were talking about the editor! I thought they were talking about their myspace profile! oops! Now that you said that, I think now they were probably talking about the editor. Unfortunately most people are pretty vague when they complain so I have to guess if they don’t write me back when I try to help them. :S

BTW—I know you are really busy right now…but have you found out what the deal is with IE7 on Vista yet? With the disappearing comments? I haven’t been able to get anyone to write me back on Vista if they get the same error with FF or any other browser. So I only know for sure it’s a problem in IE7. I am starting to get more complaints about it now. I’m thinking more people are getting Vista because it’s the default OS on all new PC’s now. (as far as I know, it’s on all the one’s I saw at Best Buy)

yeah I’m looking into obtaining Vista but man, it’s pricey! It’s like $200! And to only get that to fix a small bug :( and I’m not even sure if it works on my Mac Parallel Desktop. So trying to get a trial version before so i can test it out. Our stats say about 27% of all Windows users who come to our site uses Vista which is more than I thought! I guess I have to invest :(

I think I’ll stick with XP Pro. Heard too many things about problems with Vista.

maybe cuz Vista is a new windows. they probably still need to fix them up a bit. i like Windows XP better anyways.

Vista has been out for a while now though. It’s been a huge pain in the butt for everyone that got it! I know I’m not getting it!! All of my friends downgraded to XP when they got it. Every single one of them had problems from the first day, so they didn’t even want it at all.

oh wow. and i though Vista was good cuz i was new. now i know it SUCKS!
